When children are in school they are part of a community; wearing a school uniform promotes a culture of equality, partnership and belonging. All children are therefore required to wear school uniform. The Cabot uniform is simple and appropriate for a place of learning; giving flexibility of choice whilst maintaining an overall school identity. The school colours are navy blue, white and grey.
Please ensure that all clothing is clearly marked with your child’s name.
We do not allow smart watches to be worn in school. Phones are only allowed in exceptional circumstances and will be stored in the office for the duration of the school day.
School dress code
- Grey or black trousers or skirt. No jogging bottoms or jeans.
- Grey or black tights and socks.
- Plain white collared shirt (Polo shirt or button up)
- Cabot jumper or plain blue jumper or cardigan. (No hoodies or tracksuit jackets)
- Blue school summer dress (checked or striped)
- Plain flat black shoes or ankle-high boots. (No opened toe sandals)
Unacceptable items
- NO Jeans
- NO Joggers
- NO bright coloured trainers
- NO open toe sandals
Stud ear-rings only and no other jewellery should be worn. Pupils are welcome to wear a wrist-watch but not a smart watch due to safeguarding reasons.
Plain hairbands and clips can be worn but without characters.
We understand that some children may choose to wear a hijab. This is not part of our school uniform, but if your child does choose to wear one, could you please make sure it is white or black in keeping with our uniform colour scheme.
How to buy
School sweatshirts are available to purchase at a cost of £10.75 – sizes 24-38 available. We also have school book bags at a cost of £6.90. Please visit the school office to purchase jumpers and bags. Please be advised we currently accept card and cash payments. We are also keen to do our bit for the environment and have second-hand uniform at the front of school where a donation can be popped in the tin for anything taken.
Most non-branded items can be purchased from supermarkets or department stores. If anyone has hardship difficulties that are make purchasing the uniform difficult they should contact the school office as soon as possible.
PE kit
- Plain white T-shirt (short or long sleeved)
- Plain black shorts
- Plain black jogging trousers
- Cabot jumpers or plain blue jumpers or cardigans. (No hoodies or tracksuit jackets)
- Trainers or plimsols.
Ear studs must be removed for PE lessons
